Ft Lauderdale to Norfolk, offshore fast & soon

This is a late breaking opportunity but you have a shot at an offshore
delivery with some transportation covered.

Captain Roger Gatewood has asked me to bring his very nice J42 from Ft Lauderdale FL to Norfolk VA and ultimately to Hampton VA. This boat
just finished a Gulf of Mexico race and is in great shape for a nice
Gulf Stream romp up the coast to Chesapeake Bay. We're getting the
boat up to the Bay for measurement in advance of the next Newport to
Bermuda race.

The boat is fully equipped with chart plotters, radar, autopilot, and
life safety gear including EPIRB and SOLAS life raft. She is fully
compliant with the offshore racing requirements.

Weather permitting this is a five day run.

Roger and I would like to pick up two more crew to fly in to FLL
this weekend 19 or 20 May for a departure Sunday 20 or Monday 21 May.

Meals aboard are covered. Local transportation from Ft Lauderdale
airport (FLL) and to Norfolk (NOR) is covered as well, and reasonable
transportation expenses to and from the boat will be covered for
qualified crew.

You must be able to stand a solo watch offshore. You must be able to demonstrate applicable offshore and watchstanding experience. References will be confirmed.

This is a great opportunity, even if on short notice, to sail with a professional delivery skipper on a great boat. I'll happily work with you to add to your skill set -just let him know what you are interested in learning or talking about.

Contact me quickly at dave@auspiciousworks.com or 443 327 9084.

Interestingly some of these late breakers fill quickly so let me know
soonest if you want to go. E-mail, text, or call. I'm packing my
cooking gear now!

sail fast and eat well, dave
