Learned to sail in Sydney Harbor several years ago, but know enough to get by. Sailed on 35-45'' boats. Good guy who loves to sail, but will need a refresher course.

Jairo, I traded e-mails a couple years ago with you when you were on the south side. I live in the Loop and am looking for a boat to race on. I have 4 years of racing on Lake Michigan and many years of ocean cruising on the east coast with my own boat. I''m also experienced with all aspects of boat maintenance, including diesel mechanics.

I''ve just moved from California to Chicago where I''m looking to get into competitive sailing. I''ve sailed small boats for fun in the past and today will finish the basic keelboat course at Chicago Sailing Club. Clearly, I''m a racing neophyte but I''m fit and willing to crew and work hard.
