Short Texas Trip Spring 06

I plan to sail 100 miles From Palacios or Port O''Connor to Clear Lake Texas around May 2006.

I have a 19 foot West Wight Potter. She''s good for camping and beaching. It took us two days to sail around Galveston Island. We sailed eight hours, slept, read and fished the other 16 hours per day. At this rate I think it will take four days. I hope to spread it over a week.

In May the wind can blow pretty hard, 15 - 20 knots. This trip will be down wind mostly.

I''ll be sailing off shore. This small boat can make this strategy exciting.
