Crew wanted to help sail an Island Packet 38 from Key West to Beaufort, NC. We depart on Sunday, May 7th. It should take about six to nine days to get to Beaufort, weather depending. We'll stay about 10 - 50 miles offshore and try to get a boost from the Gulf Stream. If there's any northerly component to the wind, we'll stay closer inshore. If the weather is bad, we'll duck in and travel the ICW until conditions are favorable again.
The boat is in excellent shape and has recently completed trips between New England and FL, the Abacos and Bermuda. Captain has 20+ years sailing experience and has logged over 12,000 miles offshore. Total aboard will be captain plus 2 experienced crew with room for a possible 3rd junior crew who wants to get some offshore experience.
