Crew wanted - Seattle to SF

I'm looking for (or atleast considering bringing) some crew members for my Seattle to SF voyage, which will be taking place in August (launch date to be set).

I'll be rolling down on a '42 stay sail rigged schooner. The vessel is very comfortably equipt, with a DC fridge (7 cubic feet), pressurized water including instant hot water heater (propane), stove, barbeque, teevee and dvd player and some 1500 amp hours worth of off shore battery power.

Sleeps several, with two large births and a settee. Many-sail vessel is rigged to be a reasonable single hander, so two hands should be able to handle it fairly well. Looking for a small crew to do alternating around the clock shifts for the trip down.

Let me know if you're interested.

Tagster,

What dates do you have in mind and how long do you expect the trip to take?

No pay. I'll do it single handed if I find no crew. :-) But my girlfriend is worried about me single handing my fairly large boat (although I think the size would make it easier to do single handed) so I promised I'd at least look for a crew first.

I expect the trip to take around 14 days, and am planning on two legs once leaving the Puget Sound. First being Neah Bay to Newport, OR. then Newport, OR to SF, CA.

Cool

Looks like I'm leaving the 6th of August. I expect to take around around 12 days over all, but who knows how fast I'll be this time of year. I'll be doing whatever I can to get there before the 23rd. I still have no crew, so I've stocked several pounds of coffee. ;-)

I'm taking the offshore route.

Sounds pretty fun, I wish I had the time to go with you.....that's a lot of boat to sail by yourself, have you tried posting for crew on craigslist? Or maybe talk to some of the local sailing clubs, you might find a couple of high school kids who would be interested.
