You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Anyone ever notice you tension them with something called a Loos? By rights, it should be a "Tite".

Apparently, I didn't make clear that there is no time frame involved here. It can be for a week or two, or even months. It's not necessary to make a long term commitment to crewing, or anything else.

There's a big difference between an honest post from someone who has established some credibility on this site and a skeevy sounding unknown person whose motives come across as being questionable. PB, the former, deserves a wish for good luck finding the right crewmate, and Skeevo, the latter, deserves the ridicule. At least as far as I see it. And yes, Dog, I've had my Wheaties today, too...

Good luck with this John...though I would have titled the thread:
Taste the High Life with the Beez!!
Ya need something catchy like that to grab their attention till you can win them over with your subtler traits! (g)

PB--I DISAGREE with Cam on this one--your humility and honesty are the draw here...trust me, I'm the one that was born with the uterus, not Cam--well, as far as we know...

PB,
Many of the sailing mags have crew wanted areas. It is worth a few bucks, in my opinion. My guess is that there are many of the opposite sex who would welcome an adventure like that with you. The key is to finding them.
To any women reading this, I have not personally met John but feel he is a man of charachter and honorable in his intentions. He has been a long standing member of this site and has provided considerable help to others while maintaining a level of humitlity that many have not. SHort of Hillary Clinton, I think you would have a good time and be safe in the knowledge that his intentions are as stated.
My dad used to travel every week, all week. I remember him telling me many, many times, "I have been to some beautiful places, but it is hard to appreciate it without someone there to share it with."
I wish you the best in your search, John.
