By the way...when we left Sines....I went back to sleep and forced valiente to sail on his own while I slept the wine from the previous night.....
Alex,
As you said above would be the second part of the trip regardlless of the 30 feet waves, heavy winds and vibrating masts ... the crew just did not know that part yet. By the way Alex: I like your attitiude we need to slave our crews as we were slaves some time ago for others, scraping the botooms, doing brite work and fixing all hardware (toilets including!!!!). The best for me was allways fixing toilets (toilet diver we called), as it was not complicated and all the crew loved you after that for about a week ... lol ...
Seriously, it is always combination of the expectation, knowledge and reality and sometime our plans crash. It did happened in my case and it was not my intention as I invested in it all my heart, even I am an VAMPIRE now.
Perhaps I really drained crew vains, but sure they learn a lot tought it was on the hard side.
Immagination can make s..t hole a room in Holliday Inn and bathroom and all the services. :-)
Giuliette !!!!! She is nice boat, I am impressed.

CaptKris,
Of course it was a compliment, ya silly goose! Everybody's always saying to me, "Sailhog, you're pure evil. Your heart is utter blackness," and that's when I start to blush. I hate it when people praise me right to my face. I recently sued a non-for-profit children's cancer hospital after I "fell" on their wet hallway. Got me a good lawyer and bagged $200 large, baby! They went out of business, but not me! Why am I explaining this to you? You're the pro here! I'm sure everyone you know hates your guts, and that's why you have to advertise for crew. Sucks that Kacper had to go and rat you out like that. I really admire people who take insults as compliments. It's the hallmark of the truly criminal mind!

Good !!!! Then at least I dont have to stop at Hilton Head (do you ever see Paris up there?) on my way back (if I ever leave North :-) )!!!!
Kacper was not bad guy, just he did not realize what it is boatyard and replacing engine. Also he did not have much bolive that sailors can do what appear to be only mechanics work. Just I do not understand how he got feelings of total disorganization, but that depends on ones definition of what is and what is not good organization, I guess.
Now look at this weather ... NY and we have seventys. Gore was right we have global warming ... LOL ... lets go sailing this weekend!!!

Kacper isn't a bad guy. He signed on to crew, not to do free boat repairs. He didn't realize or you just didn't tell him upfront ?
