I would love to sail !!!

Hi

I am an Aussie travelling the world and I have done everything I want to do so far -summer camps, boarding schools etc

I would totally love to get into sailing but I have only ever been sailing for 10 days on a big sail training ship.
I will be on south East coast USA looking for a job after summer camp this year like mid
August time.

I want to start small like daysails then move on up or whatever. I also have American passport

How much experience is needed to start off ?
Will anyone employ me or is it a long shot ?

I would appreciate any good links

thanks

I would love to sail !!!

I''m interested in getting additional experience. I have taken the Annapolis Sailing course and several USPC classes.
I live in Bergen county,NJ so NYC area is within easy reach. I can be available for daysailing trips weekday or weekends if given notice a day or two in advance. Took early retirement recently and started to develop an interest in sailing. Willing to get my feet wet.

I live in NYC and I am interested in learning to sail. I have no experience at all, but all the motivation. Can you use me as a crew, or should I take a class first ? I am a quick learner. Thanks.

Lapinski
If you want to sail in Maryland on the Chesapeake Bau this summer, give me a ring. I have a 30 sloop and can always use crew and or company aboard. I will happily teach you what you need to know.

G-Day. Husband is from Queensland and we are heading back over there in Dec on our 57'' Sea Strutter. Interested? Had to ask a fellow Ozzie. Cheers... Tammy

I am a 22 yr old sailor from Lake Ontario (definetly not limited to) looking for a great crewing opportunity. I am a US Sailing Certified Level I (2000) instructor fresh out of college looking for a little adventure.
My experience on keelbaots includes a 24'' O''Day, 22'' Dolphin, and a B25 which I am currently part of a weekly race crew.
Being fresh out of college, funds are low so sharing expenses would be close to impossible. On the up side though, I can cook, I clean, I learn fast and am mechanically inclined. To top it off, at times I can be a bit entertaining.
