1 Crew Available

I am a 25 year old non-smoking male. I have an ASA 101 cert. I know it's not much but I at least know basic maneuvers and what to call the parts of the boat. I would pay my own way including food. I would also be willing to help get the boat in shape. Thanks for looking.

You'd probably get further if you mentioned where you were looking to crew. Such as Chesapeake Bay, Florida, etc.

Well I currently reside in Dallas Texas. I just kinda assumed that I would fly to the location. As far as a little more info about me...I am a photographer by trade. That is also a big reason for my desire to travel. I am cooped up in a studio right now. I love the work but would rather be out and about shooting. A small gift of mine for traveling with you would be the photos.

Thanks for the response, Josh

I took a look at the crewseekers website. Seems like a good site but I hate to spend $90USD and not get anything out of it. Has anyone with my lack of knowledge got on a boat with this service? Any positive or negative stories about "crewseekers" would be appreciated.

look to awab

dear reader
awab is a very nice comfortable boat. She is build in 1958. She is classic wood construction. She is docked on the miami river at the moment and I will be back in Miami end of oct 2010.
I will have some work to do - mainly varnish - watermaker, genset.
I offer a place to stay in Miami, my expierience as a cruiser the last 10 years.
On your side I need some help getting the boat together again after my stay in Italy.
You will learn a lot and I have company till my wife comes mid end nov. to join me. In the meantime perhaps you have a chance to find a boat for trip more south. this will be up to you. I am planning to be on the river for the first time and later will anchor in coconut grove.
this is an offer to somebody wants to know more about cruising and what a boat needs to have a comfortable live on it.
For me it would be nice to have some help in return.
look unter awab. net and you get an idea about the boat. facebook look awab sailing
you will also find my email.
perhaps we see us soon
