Arrow Eager to crew

Hey guys and gals-

20 year old woman with lots of book-knowledge, some time doing manual labor to get a boat ready to go, a few daysails under my belt. Currently on the west coast of Mexico, and ready to crew. Open-minded, fun, good at following directions, I'm always happy to learn more about sailing, boats and the ocean in general. I'm almost a non-smoker (two weeks left in my quitting goal), do not drink much, enjoy being active, and am a musician (guitar and violin). An avid reader and enthusiastic writer, I sometimes also enjoy putting things in order. I'm not the best cook, but I have fun trying anyway. I'm looking forward to some great friendships and experiences along the way. Life was never meant to be lived inside the box, we were supposed to have fun doing it!

Look forward to hearing from you all, and thanks!

Welcome to Sailnet. I'd recommend you read the following thread to get the most out of your time here. Watch out for Cruisingdad and camaraderie, as they're both clearly insane, as is the resident photoshopping portagee, Giulietta, who should under no circumstances be given a photo.

Sapper is relatively sane...for a guy that used to play with explosives for a living...

Exactly what kind of sailing are you looking to do??? How much experience do you have?? Also, where in Mexico are you, since it is a fairly large country, you'll probably want to narrow it down a bit.

Ianhlnd should be down in Mexico or thereabouts, as are some of the other regulars here on Sailnet.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

This somewhat baffled big boat owner is looking for crew, and is conveniently already on the west coast of Mexico at San Carlos on the Sea of Cortez.

Warning: She blogs when she should be repairing, but maybe you can get her off the mooring.

I find it hard to believe that people who have neither met me nor seen my boat have the gall to pass judgement. Sanctimonious gits.

If you are near or in Puerto Vallarta or Bahia de Banderas Bay, the first week of march, ia the annual Bahia de Banderas regatta. You may contact them and enroll for crew in some ships.

Maybe it's a bit late, but who knows... I was going to crew this year but couldn't make it on time...

Hey Joneski, could use crew from Mazatlan to La Paz vicinity, then up into the sea for the summer and hurricane season, then? Maybe south.
