Post Charleston to Abaco - March 26, 08

Female crew wanted for a trip in March. I am a licensed USCG captain with a 41 foot ocean going sailing boat and I will be moving her to the Carribean (Abaco). I am looking for somone who has some experience, is a non smoker, knows their way around a sailboat or willing to learn, can stand watches, not prone to seasickness, can cook, all boat related expenses plus return flight covered. I plan on leaving Charleston for the Abaco sometime around the end of March 08. The boat has all the required safety equipment, auto pilot, SSB, liferaft, watermaker, Sat phone, fridge/freezer, etc.
Please email me if you are interested so we can discuss.

Thanks

Welcome to Sailnet Bart.

Hmmm.. rtli.org is a "right to life" website. Probably not the wisest e-mail address to be using on a sailing forum when asking for female crew. JMHO, but you'd probably be safer and better off getting a gmail or yahoo address to use for something like this, considering how negative and fanatical some of the RTL groups are.

When you say you are a captain, do you mean you're a licensed USCG captain, or just some guy with a boat?

BTW, the notice is kind of on the short side, since getting the best price on airline tickets usually requires about three weeks.

Also, be aware that you won't be able to PM anyone until you have at least 10 posts minimum. I'd also recommend that you read this post to get the most out of your time on sailnet.

I plan on leaving Charleston for the Abaco sometime around the end of March 08 and slowly head south stopping to visit places along the way. Ultimate destination the Bahamas and then the Caribbean. The boat has all the required safety equipment, auto pilot, SSB, liferaft, watermaker, Sat phone, fridge/freezer, etc.
Please email me if you are interested so we can discuss.

Thanks

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

It's RTI Home Page (with letter I, not L).

My bad Brak.. That makes much more sense. I think the other points are still valid.

Not "RTLI.ORG" RTII.ORG

Saildog,

Please read the type more carefully it is not rtli.org it is rtii.org, very different. Also, I am a licensed USCG captain and I think I have plenty of time to find someone.
