Crew Wanted

68' Van Dam Ketch looking for crew for trip from Fort Lauderdale to Antigua leaving in late March and returning in May. Must be back in USA by May 21. Owner/skipper has MCA 200 ton license with commercial endorsement. Crew pay travel expenses, owner pays room & board. If compatible, possibility of long term position (St Lawrence, Great Lakes over this summer). Any experience, but ability to cook (basic) would help. No smokers, drug takers or lazy people need to apply.

Just be aware that you won't be able to reply to anyone who PM's you until you have at least 10 posts. I'd also recommend you read this post to get the most out of your time on sailnet.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I am just a couple hours North of you, Asteroid. Very interested in the crew position. And yes, I can cook.

I've got to get into this business of sailing around getting people to pay their own way for months at a time while working on my boat.

I don't know many people that can afford a long term position at that pay rate
