Crew Willing & Available

I am a 51 year old Caucasian male, looking to cross the Pacific Ocean as crew. I have more than 25 years experience sailing around the Southern California islands, as well as some extended coastal trips from San Diego up to San Francisco. I can cook, work the deck, steer, stand watch, navigate, use GPS and other electronics, and in general, be a pretty good crew member. I don't gab too much, but am affable and consider myself pretty easy to get along with. I'm physically fit, healthy, and willing to work hard. I can manage the provisioning, the stowage, and other first mate type duties. I'm seeking to crew aboard just about any size sailing vessel, from just about anywhere on the West coast of the US, across the Pacific, to just about any destination. I'm hoping 4 weeks will be sufficient time, but if the Skipper has plans for a longer voyage, with enough notice, I can arrange to be available for a longer period of time.

Please email me (check my profile for email address) if you need more particulars, or to discuss availablility.

Gavin.

Hmm... SimonV is probably going to be heading back to Oz from the left coast... since he just bought a boat in the SFO area but lives in Oz.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
