Thumbs up Looking for crew for the summer in Rhode Island

It's a lot of work sailing single handed 38 feet. I'm looking for crew for day sailing and weekends. Experienced or just looking to learn, drop me message.

It would help if you said what kind of boat it was, and where in Rhode Island it was located. Also, be aware you won't be able to answer any PMs until you have 10 posts.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

I would like to be the first to apply for this one. I don't have too much sailing experience really but I went to college in RI. Now live in NY but do plan on spending a few weekends there this summer. I would love to schedule one with you and spend some time helping you sail that beautiful boat. Let me know what else you want to know about me and I'll be sure to share.

^^^ to add to the above, I also have some friends that spend months sailing in the pacific during college. They would certainly come along if you wanted more experience. You can respond here or email me at Kyoung336 at gmail dot com

Thanks for your reply.
Looking for crew is finding individuals that come together for the common goal of sailing. A crew is a team and each individual plays an important role based on their skill level and experience. Now don’t get me wrong, I am by no means hard core sailing type and can be happy relaxing when the winds are light. There is room for young and old, male and female on my crew. I understand that not everyone can set aside as much time as they would like to go sailing and unplaned things do come up but it does need to be more of a commitment than a one off trip.
Thanks again

I might be interested - home based in Newport/Portsmouth and have sailed on our friend's 38 Irwin CC - currently for sail. Build up your 10-post minimum and PM me.

I'd be interested in being added to your crew list. I've been sailing for over 35 years. I own a 28 foot O'Day on Lake George, NY. I also own a 23-traditional boat that I built, and I've skippered boats up to 43 feet in the BVI's and Florida Keys. I wouldn't mind spending more time in salt water. ;-)
Drop me an email.

Scott
