Hello.

New here to the board, and completely new to sailing, but I live in Chicago, and I am quite possibly interested in joining up.

Oh, and since I have no experience sailing, I may a well say I am in good shape and not a couch-potato who saw a boat on TV and thought it looked "cool," so I am not useless ha!

However...What exactly does joining a race crew entail, at least in terms of time and money commitments???

OK!

If you start a thread, it is really helpful if you at least check back from time to time, other wise don't bother.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
