Summer Sailing Chesapeake Bay

I am looking for a few easy going people who would like to sail on the bay this summer. I have a 30'' sloop with all the necessary equipment and I am an experienced sailor having originally learned at the USNA while a midshipman. The boat is in Deale MD at Shipwright Harbor slip #D45 if you want to take a look. HAve cruising spinnaker, autopilot, GPS, dinghy and o/b, diesel, new instruments, new sails, and many upgrades. Boat is sound and the skipper likes to think he is also. My stats: 64 years old, retired diplomat, good natured, who has weathered more than a few storms personal and nautical. Happy to share my sailing knowledge. languages: English and Spanish.

Summer Sailing Chesapeake Bay

Jerry,
I am just learning to navigate this site so excuse me if I have sent this message twice.

Is Deale on the Eastern shore or Western shore of the Chesapeake? Regardless, I am available to crew for you this summer. I am in Newark, Delaware now and I plan to be moving to DC at the end of the month...

I am a young (25), strong, likable male with broad international travel experience, well developed small boat handling skills from my childhood and a college degree to boot. I am ISO day/coastal cruising experiences to propel me towards a sailing lifestyle and most importantly, to help me get a sense of what size/type of vessel I should buy at the end of this season.

If you want to talk to get a better sense of me, drop me a line at the email address I have listed with a number I can contact you. Look forward to hearing from you.
Jamie
