Sailing in Jersey

I'm living in Monmouth County and looking to purchase a boat in the coming year. If anyone needs any crew for a trial, race etc. I have experience at sea on research vessels but limited sailing experience (small boat racing) I'd like to get some time on the water in bigger boats so I can experience the handling characteristics. Just kind of build up the base so I have something for comparison in the future.

I'm also a professional photographer so if you let me come out on your boat I could take some pictures for you. I have all kinds of waterproof photo gear so no problem.

Thanks,
Dave

Dave! why not consider joining East Enders YC out of Burlington NJ! Most of us actually belong to Anchor Yacht Club in Bristol PA (acros the river) most races are on thursday nights. and there are many picnic and activities all through the season. you can find boat clubs online too. My boat is a ODay 30 and allthough I don't race it much I do crew on other boats quite often. many new to sailing people join us too!
PM me if you would like more info
take care!

Denise-
Do you have any information on East Enders YC you can share here? I live just outside of Atlantic City, but it sounds like something I would be interested in. Thanks!

I bought a few weeks ago at Amazon a book named "A Cruising Guide To New Jersey Waters" by Captain Donald Launer. It cost me $2.89 plus shipping and it was published in the 90's. With that being said, it is a great little book full of information about the waters of New Jersey, much of which I didn't know. I recommend it.

Brian,
Where outside of AC do you live? My boat will be in Longport this summer. Welcome to Sailnet by the way.
