Heading to Caribbean, Fall ''02

Hello all,

Its a bit early, but I''m heading south this fall and would like crew for the trip. I have a 40'' sloop with all of the necessary safety gear. It has three sleeping cabins so privacy will not be an issue. So far I have a crew of two doing the trip down. I''m looking for another crew member or two for the trip down, then crew for the trip back in the spring.

If you''re interested, I would like to do a bit of local sailing in the Newport RI area with you during the summer so we could get to know each other. The plan is to head from here to Bermuda, then Antigua, then Grenada. The reverse in the spring.

Hello,
I am an eighteen year old male. Been sailing as long as I can remember. Would love to accompany you in your travels. I currently work in a sail loft and have been for the past 15 months, so sail repairs and canvas work are nothing new to me. Let me know if i can be of assistance.

Oh, why not.

I can''t get to RI this summer unless I get a paid trip and I haven''t been offered a paid trip in 6 months. You have a great idea, picking your crew to sail with before you take the leap. Best of luck to you and yours, and wish I could hop aboard like I could have a few years ago.

Completely interested. Defiantely need more information. Cut my teeth sailing in RI at Camp Fuller, which is on Pt Judith Pond. Probably can make it up to Newport this summer. Many skills, from cooking to basic mechanical, power and sailed in many parts of the world... good knowledge of weather too, as I am surfer. Please get back to me. 646 246 6955. Currently based out of Manhattan and LBI, NJ. Last sailing trip-3 days, last August....Baregat Light NJ-around Cape May, up through Deleware Bay....through C and D canal...down into Chesapeake.
