Update: Looks as if 7 confirmed for the event as of today.
  • Sky and his son (2)
  • Rita who has sunfish experience only (CL)
  • Brian - wants to be introduced to sailing but has off-shore commercial experience. (CL)
  • Steve - who has experience and can do just about anything (CL)
  • Milah who has sailed before with me (see avatar) - knows nothing about sailing but listens well.
  • Kira - loves to sail.
3-4 or other potentials (eye candy type, rail meat) + 2 other potential race experienced sailors.

I'll be able to go up to 12 maybe 14 depending on weight, and having a few share duties of being drink tenders below decks.

Looks like things will shape up nicely - so that is the update and thanks for all participating, I am looking forward to this event!

So is it time to tell them what you're "REALLY LIKE" Jody? Or should those that have met you keep our mouths shut awhile longer?:rolleye s:

Always one AFOC in the crowd you say?

Kewl, I get to be on the pole! You have a crows nest on that thing too? Kewl!

spinnaker pole you say,,,,,,,hmmmmm......maybe I better get a bit more experience on the C&C I am racing on, as my boat does not have a spin pole, but it does have a whisker pole I am pretty good at using..........

I could probably fill the boat up with kids and spouse too.....than again, I am supposed to be in the south sound on that boat that weekend tooo, or I could come down there and show you how it is done in my boat.........

PS folks, he yells, yells and yells, no smile.................yep, thats my story and i am sticking to it!:rolley es::rolley es: If you all believe that, I have some swamp land, desert land, and an active volcano I can sell you too!: p

So we are coming to almost the weekend.

I had a engine issue that is now fixed.

Starting this weekend, I will be doing daily sails out. I have to leave for business on the 1st of June, but will be doing the red eye back on the 5th.

This is what I need from those that volunteered:

1. Shirt size.
2. Phone number to reach you at by Sunday.
3. Any allergies or medical conditions that I should be aware of.
4. Your position on global warming (just kidding)

I had a huge response on Craigslist, not so much Sailnet .. but what is important to me is that we all get on the same wavelength. I actually have had zero phone calls for confirmation which I emailed to those with email.. and by evening of Sat I will start calling those that left a number. It is a charity event and I am allowing my business to pay the way so to speak with perks to the crew that do come aboard.

Starting this weekend I would like to get people onboard prior to the event. All next week I will be sailing weather not prohibiting. (four two five) 260-2669... if you got my email or I contacted you on sailnet - now would be the time to confirm and let me know you are not a flake for the event...

See above for what I need.

Additionally, I will need a responsible person to assist me in getting bevs, snacks, etc onboard that meet the need of the team as I really do not want to spend my Friday after redeye getting in having to do the stores issues.... It will be out of my pocket btw..

Those out of area - I have a huge place to stay at prior to to...

That is the update..
