Crew wanted for NY to Ireland

I have a 33 foot sailboat to get from New York to Ireland. I am considering my options (shipping as deck cargo hasn't been ruled out yet!).

I have some coastal experience. I would like to find crew/skipper with offshore experience.

I had thought of going on the Great Circle course in August which gives some options on the initial coastal piece and shortens the actual crossing.

WYSIWYG,

I would suggest that you post details about your boat (make, year, condition, tankage, etc) as well as preparations you have undertaken to prepare for the voyage (sail inventory, safety equipment, etc). Most folks that would consider such a voyage will want to know more before they express interest.

Also, the GCR doesn't save a temendous amount of distance, and brings you through some notoriously tricky spots. Unless you have a driving desire to cross the Flemish Cap, you may want to consider the "kindler, gentler" route via Bermuda and the Azores. Of course, keep a weather eye for tropical depressions at that time of year.

That's a voyage I've dreamed of making in my own boat. All the best of luck to you!

Shoot me an email with your contact info. Site rules won't let me PM you because I don't post enough. I will be completing a northern route transatlantic delivery on or about the first of August and depending on the info the previous poster suggested you post, might be able to help you out.
