Looking to crew in Chicago

Hey! I'm new on this forum and relatively new to sailing (became certified in May through the ASA basic keelboat course). I live within walking distance of Belmont Harbor and I'm looking for people who may need an extra hand throughout the rest of this summer. Some of the time I am not on call (I'm a pilot for a living) and other times I am on call, but generally I have quite a bit of time available throughout the weekday evenings, as well as some weekends. I'm 25 and eager to learn, and I wish that I had got into sailing long ago.

Thanks!

Kstater-

Welcome to sailnet... I'd highly recommend you read the post in my signature and reformat your e-mail address in a non-machine readable form, as it will get picked up by spammer webcrawlers and you'll regret it.

fhdustin {a} hotmail **.} com or something to that effect will help protect it from being harvested.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Thanks - fixed it!

Looking forward to hearing some replies. I'm walking over to Belmont Harbor now to hang around.
