MarthaR is on a distinguished road
Looking for one crew/companion for BVI 01/09

As awkward as this is for me, and maybe you, maybe it will work. 3 couples (2 married in 50's, 1 single in 30's) and I are sailing the BVI the last week in January, 2009. We are captain and crew (I've done this before). I had a "bunk mate" when we chartered the boat back in December, 2007. Stuff happens, I am in a cabin by myself. I'm not looking for a lifetime partner, I'm looking for someone near my age to spend a week just having fun. Call it a fling, call it whatever you want. I call it two adults sailing in the Caribbean and having a good time. No ties, no commitments, no expectations. Not that a spark may develop. Even though the cabin is a single queen bed the week long relationship can be platonic, really. I've been around too long not to be honest about that. It will be about $2000 for the week (maybe less if I subsidize some of it) with airfare and everything else. We are spending 2 nights on St. Thomas before setting sail from BVI Tortolla, Road Town, on a 42 foot catamaran called the Marthar. I have a seat on American Airlines next to mine out of Chicago that can be purchased.

So, am I an ogre, I'll let you decide: Email me and I will sent you a complete profile with pictures.

So why now? My bunk mate, for reasons I am not going into here, dropped out of the picture. I am not a player so I have no one "in the wings". I thought I might entice a sailor/adventurer to take a shot. I'm a nice guy, I'm fun, my word is my bond, I'm a moderate with liberal leanings. I'm fit, in shape and expect the same.

This is for real. Life is too short to get hung up on "social norms". My name is Alan.

For those of you who think this is funny, please respect my position.

The boat's name is MarthR, sorry for the confusion.
I am quite straight.
Didn't really know where to post this.

Alan
