Seeking help...

Hi. I''m 19 years old and would LOVE to work on a boat for a portion of my summer. My only problem is that I have no previous experience and can''t afford training courses. I am looking for any information on who I could hook up with that might be able to provide an oppurtunity to accomodate my situation. Any tips and advice on where to look or who to contact would be greatly appreciated.

I have no personal experience but have heard that you can hang around some busy marinas and find a ride. This assumes that you look safe and are willing to take a risk with the boat. I know that I wouldn''t let someone crew off of the internet. But if I met them and they seemed safe and I needed some help??? When the spring migration begins they''ll be a lot of boats on the intracoastal waterway heading south. Just have the resources to survive if you get bumped along the way.
