From about beginning of June this year (2010), I am looking for a couple good hands on my 48ft. motor sailor, to bring it through the Torres straight, along Indonesia to Thailand, where I should arrive in about December. So this is a rather long term trip, but it is being done on a BIIIG boat... Means, I like to find 3-6 people as crew, first because there is NO
autopilot, second because we can split costs in a way, that it gets REALLY cheap for everyone, thirdly it can be lot's of fun, as my experiences show. Of course, one can do only sections of whole journey, if not enough time available. This is not a business venture, but since I am on a tight budget, I can only take people, who can participate in the overall costs, means split food, diesel, ports.
Good, strong professionally built expedition ship (30+ton) with 2 steering stations, one fully enclosed in pilot house, one outside. Sloop. 8 berths. 8 feet headroom (!). Shower, big watertanks, 4
dinghys, 2 kitchens. Huge flush deck. No roller sails. Bilgekeeler.
I have many years sailing experience (Med, Atlantic, Pacific), mostly with children. I am not a racer, but a safety-first-sailor! You do not NEED to be experienced, but SERIOUS!
