It would help if you got some certifications, like CPR and STCW 95, and picked up some skills, like cooking, watch keeping, coastal pilotage, during your time teaching. Having certifications and skills will make you more marketable as a crew member.
You're probably a little early for finding a boat to crew on given your schedule.
