Sailing partner in Slidell, LA

I'm looking for someone experienced to sail with in the New Orleans/Northshore area. Only interested in day-sailing but eventually would like to attempt longer trips. I'm a 36 y.o. European guy fairly new to sailing. I am based in Slidell,my boat is a 30'' Cape Dory cutter, in good shape. I'm also interested in crewing in other people's boats in the area.
