Smile ARC 2010 with kids

Hi everybody, we are looking for someone who's planning to sail the ARC 2010; we don't have extensive sailing experience but we are nice people and hard-workers.
We look for a "sailing family", so we can share the same attitude and problems: we are a couple 35 and 30 y.o and we have a wonderful daughter who will be 19 months next november (she already sailed around Virgin Islands).
Please contact me for any further details.
May the wind be with u!

Do you have a boat or are you looking to crew? Your post is a bit unclear on this.

Also, if you're looking to crew, what certifications/skills do you bring to the boat? CPR, wilderness first responder, STCW 95, ability to cook gourmet meals underway, expertise in troubleshooting diesel engines, etc... are all going to increase your value as a crewmember.

BTW, finding a berth for three, one of whom is a 19 month-old infant, is going to be really tough... having an infant aboard a boat that isn't yours is very complicated.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.

Wow!! What a trip. It is moving up highly on my list of things to do, but doubt we would make 2010.

Good luck with it!

Myself, I have the Italian Sailing License; we do not have long time experience (we just had a breaf experience in BVI, sailing there for 10 days with our kid), but we are hard workers ready to learn and gain the knowledge we miss.
I know that some couples with kids already crossed Atlantic with ARC and we would like to join them for next edition.
Please, contact us!
