Hi there...!

I was wondering which place in the carribean would be the best place to go for hitchiking a sailboat to Europe. We want to work and are very keen on learning as much as we probably can during the trip. At the moment we are in Bocas del Toro in Panama, but it has turned out to be a quite bad spot because of winds and watercurrents to go that way... We were thinking about maybe flying to The Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Antigua or something like that to try and find the boat... Maybe you have better suggestions?

We would like to leave for the Atlantic crossing within the next month or so...

Antigua and St Maarten will be busy right now and a common stopping point before heading across. Mostly I'd say it'd be better to cross Late April/May as right now it's quite easy to hit bad luck with the weather and get a bit of a beating.
