I''m a fifty-one-year-old teacher who''s eager to get back on salt water. I''ve crewed on a variety of sailboats on both US coasts and off Mexico. I sold my own boat when I moved from Boston to Atlanta and Minneapolis in the eighties.

Now that my son is starting to build his career dreams, I''m anxious to return to my own senses via short and (soon enough) longer cruises. Let me know if we''re heading in the same "direction."

I need an adventure, I am planning to sell my car and rent out may place and go on a cruising adventure...who knows for how long, but at least 6 months. I have no sailing experience, so I'm looking for a partner to go with me. I'm currently looking at boats and believe I can afford at least a 30ftr, hopefully a 33.
I'm 29,m,straight,dallas,texas, ex naval officer...don't get too excited, i was on aircraft carriers the whole time, and it wasn't on the bridge, but I did get some basic navigation training in officer candidate school. i also went through flight training which involved chart navigation.
I'm hoping to get everything in order by the end of May and leave sometime after that.
