Hello!
We are a young adventurous couple (Canadian girl, 25 and Norwegian guy, 27) in need to get our paws calloused! Looking for passage across the Pacific anytime from now to the end of the summer 2010, and we hope to find a safe, reliable and welcoming boat & captain to do it.
We quit our mechanical engineering jobs in Norway to travel around the world : we crossed the Atlantic on a tall ship and now we hope to join a smaller boat for the wonderful Pacific journey. We want to give a hand sailing, cooking, standing watches and maintaining your sailboat if we feel that we can get along. We don't smoke or use drugs, are clean and quite capable with our hands for fixing things. We truly enjoy the company of people of all ages - especially adventurers with an interesting life story.
ABOUT US
We are a very independent and quite extroverted couple who spend their time outdoors on skis, bikes, boats or
harness - but we also enjoy good talks and quality quiet time staring at the waves. Besides sailing and the outdoors I enjoy cooking, music and photography, and we are both very curious about most things. We are easy to accommodate optimistic people with an easy laugh and can handle trouble with cool.
SAILING EXPERIENCE
We started sailing in 2007 in Norway on a friend's Yngling (Olympic Womans Keelboat in 2008). We raced with that boat twice a week during the season and took her out every possible day as well as gave her a lot of love with sandpaper, screwdriver and brushes soaked in diverse liquids and pastes

.
We also crewed for cruising and races on larger boats in Norway and Greece, and in the winter 2010 we crewed across the Atlantic from France to the Caribbean on a beautiful wooden three mast 120 ft schooner, so we are also quite familiar with the functioning of an older
rig.

Cheers,
Marina
