crew wanted in st leonard, md

I have a 31 ft grampian classic 31 in fantastic shape and want to sail more often than I have crew for. I sailed her up from savannah, ga last season. I have a lot of three and four day weekends and have interest in doing some destination sailing in the bay. Experience is great and if not enthusiasm works too!

Hello,
I, too, am retired and really enjoy sailing. I am no stranger to boats, but fairly new to sailing. But even better, I live in North beach, just up the road from St Leonard. Drop me a line, and lets see if we can find some wind!!
Lennie

Hi Lennie,
First let me say I enjoy being on the water. I have a 19' CC Trophy that I keep in Barnagate, NJ. I also own a 16' run about that I use on the nearby rivers and lakes. I get down to Chincoteaque, Va. often with my buddy who has a 20' CC. From Chincoteaque we either go out in the ocean or trailer over to Saxis for the Chesapeake. As you can see I' not a stranger to boating. My sailing experience is a lot less. I have chartered a 44' slope with crew, 3 times in the Grenadine Islands. I have also sailed with a local Islander in a 28foot double ender. That is one of the traditional boats of the West Indies. In fact I've been in 2 Reqattas with him, one in Tobago and the other in Bequia. As I stated before I completed the ASA courses 101 Basic Sailing, 103 Basic Coatal Sailing and 104 Bareboat Charting. Since taking these courses last Dec. I haven't done any sailing. My desire is to be able to crew with someone and gain practical experience.

I am 65 and retired and in good physical condition. I live in a small town, Riegelsville, which is just south of Easton, Pa. and is on the Deleware River. I am widowed so my time is mine and I have plenty of it. My guess is that St. Leonard is about a 4 1/2 to 5 hour drive from my home and I'm very willing to travel that distance. Hopefully I hear from you again and if you have any specific questions please ask.

Ken
