New boat - new program. Its a 1983 Pearson Flyer named Sly McFly. New everything - race bottom, new racing sails, new asym, new symmetrical spins. Will be the fastest
rated boat in San Diego PHRF 5 along with a J30 and the like. Rates 138. Help us make it fast for real! I am putting together a program to compete in the PHRF San Diego Ocean Series. This will be races like the Cabrillo Series starting in January, plus assorted other coastal ocean races and the occasional Bay race. Newport - Ensenada, Around Catalina races, Mission Bay - Oceanside, expect a full local ocean race program.
I will take crew with no experience and train, but I'd really like people who can commit to doing a race or two a month and a practice now and then, and will stay for the season. It's understood that no one can make every event!
All positions open: foredeck, mast, pit, trimmers.
