Now comes the dad (sorry... I have to): But I would really encourage you to be very, very cautious about jumping on a small boat with someone. There are some really good people on boats, and I have also met some really wierdos. And once you are on the boat and going, there is no getting off, no cell phones, no VHF, nothing. You have obviously done some travelling, and probably know how to protect yourself better than I do, but a pretty, intelligent, young woman on the wrong boat could really be trouble.
Just some thoughts which I am sure you have thought about.

You know what the first rule of sailing is? ...Love. You can learn all the math in the 'verse, but you take
a boat to the sea you don't love, she'll shake you off just as sure as the turning of the worlds. Love keeps
her going when she oughta fall down, tells you she's hurting 'fore she keens. Makes her a home.
