Crewmember for shared expenses trip available
If your looking for a responsible, dependable and safety minded crew member to join you for a shared expenses sailing trip please read on.
I am a 41 y/o, fit, non-smoker, social drinker, available to help serve as crew/deckhand for upcoming sails starting in mid-January, the duration is open for discussion. I currently live in Destin, FL (Panhandle) but willing to travel to your location. I am a USCG licensed Capt, scuba certified and a good navigator. I have tons of yachting experience (been a yacht broker for last 10 years and power boating all my life) but have little sailing experience. I'm familiar with practically all boat systems, plumbing and electrical with good mechanical common sense (not a mechanic by any means).
That's the basics of my qualifications but, here's what you really want to know. I enjoy catching my dinner and can waste an afternoon figuring out which way I am going to prepare it for dinner. I have live aboard experience and lean towards the neat and tidy side of personal hygiene and live aboard conditions. I choose friends, a sunset and a cocktail over news, tv and the internet. I'm open minded enough that I can adapt to any social circle. Even though I'm not one of those guys who lives to hear himself called Captain.... my fishing buddy's do it anyway. They do it because I'm the one who brings the extra rain jacket, has the stocked first aid kit, can get myself home without a gps and has the plan to get our ass back on the hard if an Oh ****! scenario happens.
Interested? I can be reached at cseagreg at yahoo dot com.
Thanks for looking,
Greg
