Still need crew? I''m a 50 yr old male escapee from a respectable desk job, returning to life on the water. Need more experience to be able to do deliveries. I''m available after 1/26/01. I have experience in the distant past from growing up on the Chesapeake, and will be in a sailing class 1/20-1/26 for refresher and ASA 103/104 certifications. Fit, responsible, easygoing, eager to learn. Email bengland@interpath.com

Not ideal for me but there may be a possibility. As I said, I want to
gain experience that will position me to do deliveries so I''d prefer
longer passages that would take me to different ports in different
kinds of boats. I also don''t want to go in the hole financially--I''m
basically looking for breakeven or close to it for the near term.

I live in Raleigh NC, roughly a 5 hr drive from Charleston. If you''re
sailing weekdays I could drive home on weekends. But I don''t want to
spend money on overnight accommodations. Could I overnight on the
boat? Place to park my car? Any meals provided? I couldn''t make any
long term commitment because if I get an offer closer to what I want to
do I''d have to take it.

I tried to reply directly to your email but the return address was incomplete. It was just "takingthehelm" with no @server.
