looking for crew with some offshore experience. we will be leaving st thomas about may 15th via bermuda to long island.
i will pay all expenses except airfare. you supply all personal gear, bedding, pfd, harness and personal safety gear

Captain David Willems is available with license (100 ton, 200 miles offshore) and a lot of sail experience over 25 years, including 9000 bluewater delivery miles under sail. Due to the slow tourism season here in St.Thomas I am seeking a Crew Position on any type (sail or power) or size vessel, the larger the better if sail, long term or short. Rank and Pay are no object, I can working for connecting airfare only if on sailboat deliveries. If trip is a good one then possibly even for Free, and I actually work, at night also. Former Yacht Mechanic and Non-smoking Drug-screened Scubadiving College Grad with Radar Endorsement and an Airplane Private Pilot''s license. I''m a 50 yr old male, retired electrical engineer, experienced sailor, fit, responsible, and easygoing; have ASA cert. for Coastal Cruising and Bareboat Chartering, but no Coast Guard license yet. Working on it. Need to build sea service. Grew up sailing the Chesapeake just south of Annapolis. I''ll be on a passage leaving Hilton Head, SC around Mar 1, to the Abacos and on to Ft Lauderdale by around Mar 10-12. Available after that as of now though I have several other possibilities in the works. I can send you a resume if you''d like, with references. It''s about 400k including a photo, which takes a few minutes to up and download; if you have a fax number that would be a quicker way to send it.

I''m a 35 year old inexperienced, but able bodied male. I''ve a fair amount of sailing experience (including the past five years as the owner of a 33'' Ranger in LI Sound), but no off-shore sailing (although I spent a year making three-week trips in the New Bedford fishing fleet). I''d be interested in making the trip, but can''t be relied on as the super-experienced off-shore sailor.
