Hi there! I'm sort of new to the forum, but I wanted to put up a post to see if anyone is looking for a boat crew in the next couple of months. I've owned and sailed my own vessels before, but I'm looking to log some more time on the water.
Currently located in the Caribbean, but based out of New England and willing to travel.
A little bit about me:
Formally, I’m a practicing civil & environmental engineer in his mid-twenties.
However, I most recently worked as a crew member on a 90ft charter boat in Culebra,
PR assiting with deck hand and maintenance work, engine room and cabin houskeeping and meal prep.
I am also an amateur sailor and outdoor enthusiast. Up until this summer I owned a 28ft sloop that I mostly day sailed with friends on the Chesapeake Bay. After purchasing the boat, I re-arranged the rigging so that it could be single-handed. I also did some competitive dinghy sailing in college and have done some open ocean sailing with friends on their own boats.
In addition to being an engineer, I’ve been employed as a carpenter, electronics assembler, R&D manager, bartender, bike messenger, lifeguard and professional mover. All things that have somehow helped my in my sailing experience. I consider myself to be easy-going, but alert and commited to personal safety all with a good sense of humor.
Send me a message if you are in need of additional crew.
Look forward to hearing from the forum!
