If you need local knowledge I have sailed from DR to Cartagena twice leaving no later than 7th June, great sail both times.
Presently sailing panama Cartagena and soon up to Honduras.
lot's of experience of this area especially between Portobelo and Cartagena and the wonderful San Blas islands (2 years experience)
