24'''' Sail, Race Crew on Buzzard''''s Bay

I recently brought my San Juan 24'' from Houston TX, to Dartmouth MA. I sail weekly on Buzzard''s Bay. I am new in town and don''t know too many people locally so I find myself single-handing often. This is fun, but I would also like to get back into racing, which requires a few crew.

First of all, I''m not looking for a lot of experience - its not all about winning (yet)! I''m more interested in crew who are 1-physically fit, 2-willing and able to learn, and 3-have a VERY positive attitude. Racing is NOT easy, but it IS a lot of fun. FYI - I''ve been racing/sailing this boat for 10 yrs now.

I''m looking to add one at a time, and hoping to have 2 or 3 aboard regularly by the end of the summer and signed on for a fun season next year. (If we can pull together a team, I''ll definitely consider a race for the fun of it towards the end of this season.) In the meantime day-sails/cruising will be part of the fun, of course!

If you think you might be interested, drop me an email at Scramble380@yahoo.com and we''ll email a bit about details. If it looks like we have a fit, I''d like to meet you for a mini-interview, and then we''ll go sailing. Put the word "crew" somewhere in your subject line so I don''t delete your message!

Don''t be shy. I don''t bite, and its a LOT of fun!

Regards,
Scramble-man
