Looking to crew nj

Hi, I work full time and looking to crew in nj this season. I am physically fit, 46 years old and have been sailing for over twenty years. Asa certified to bareboat chartering. Available evenings and weekends and here and there a weekday.

New to the area, anybody got any ideas ?

Couple of years ago, I had the same question, withouth any qualifications.
On some other thread there was a suggestion to check the local yact clubs, what I did.
If you show up at the entrance of the most of yacht clubs dressed for sailing, polite and enthusiastic and maybe, carring a cooler with some beer on Wed. evening, a bit before 5 p.m. the probability of getting on the boat for the race is huge. You talk to the people, maybe like some boats, maybe they like you...
At least, thats what I did, and now I am a member of Raritan Yacht Club. It is quuite a ride for you to Perth Amboy, but there should be clubs more convininiently located. Not all of them have a lot of regular racing, but Wed. night and some weekend regattas for wich you could check the dates online, at least some boat would be short of crew.

There is plenty of sailboats at Atlantic Highlands. I know because we had a boats coming for races to RYC. It looks like it is not that far away from you.
