Looking to Crew in mid Sept. east canada to Brazil

I'm am an inexperienced 22 year old male , looking to crew on a vessel (maybe a tall ship?) going from eastern canada to Brazil. I will be in canada in Sept and would like to leave there somewhere in the middle of the month. I don't have experience, but I learn extremely fast!

Hi Freddo,

Sailing around the north and east coasts of South America is extremely difficult due to adverse winds and north setting Guyana currents.

Most boats sailing from North to South America go by way of Europe and the Cape Verde's.

Good luck.

Well, I guess I'm just trying to get to Brasil by the beginning of November and I can start around the 6th or so of Sept. I don't really mind where the ship goes as long as it gets to Brasil around that time. Would I be better off just taking a flight there? I had hoped I could get some first experiences sailing in the ocean. Oh and also, I am a hard worker and am mainly looking for passage and food. I have no idea how ocean sailing goes, but if being a hardworking crewman can earn me a bit of money, that's nice too! =D
