Marine Engineer Wanted

I met a Marine Engineer on Cape Cod this weekend who is working on relocating after retirement to the Caribbean to live aboard his boat. Perhaps the timing is close enough to work something out...

I wish I had more info for you, or a contact for him that I could pass on, but I do not. If you are so inclined, you could call the Marina at 508-540-2402. You''d want to leave a message with "Buddy" the marina owner for "his friend the Marine Engineer with the Pearson" to call you back. (I''d give you his name, but the world is reading this, and I''d hate to create problems for him.)

This person was VERY personable, and was very helpful to me, a stranger, regarding understanding the very strong local currents heavy winds and timing a safe departure from port. It would be quite fitting if I could help him connect with an opportunity that may be perfect for you both.

To qualify my opinion, I can tell you that I am also an engineer (not marine, or I''d consider sending you MY resume!) and a sailor of 10 yrs experience. While my conversation with him wasn''t enough to justify a personal recommendation, I can say that he''s exactly the kind of candidate I''d be looking to interview in depth if I were searching for such an employee.

Sorry to be so vague, but all the details are only a phone call away - I can''t imagine he wouldn''t return your call.

Hope this proves helpful.
