Wow.... nice. I wish I can go. Can't afford the time and admission fee.

Admission Fee: $15 per day for 3 months = $1350
Food: $15 per day for 3 months = $1350

Total cost = $ 2700
Plus air fares and port of calls expense.

Not a cheap for over 5000 nm voyage. Good luck.

So you prefer posting posts, right? Because they cost nothing, right?

Leaving from BALI, where food is not expensive, count around 5-7 dollars a day for food. If you are a gourmet, cook yourself - but for the whole boat please. A swedish chef, who joined Liberty for 4 months, was in that category - a prime example of a good, reliable and friendly crew.

If you have nothing to say, don't answer this thread. I had one German, who unfortunatly made it all the way to my boat and had absolutly NOTHING to say for months of sailing. So also if you are bored, this is NOT your boat!

The people who feel best aboard Liberty, are down to earth craftsmen, cooks, nurses, artists - experienced or not.

Try "findacrew.com" there are heaps of folks looking to crew/adventure etc. So straight to SA or Madagascar or will you stop in Chagos?

Thanks for your recomendation, aeventyr! I will post there and look. Stopping in Chagos is not the plan, partially because the burocratic procedures you have to go through. I am not traveling on a boat called Liberty, to deal with suckers in London!

Also, Chagos is too far away from a straight course to Madagascar. I might - and probably will - stop in Christmas and/or Cocos Keeling Island. I made - surprisingly maybe - very GOOD experiences with Australian Custom and Quaranteen. They LOVE my boat...!
