Winter atlantic crossing?
Our names are J.G. and Susan (28 and 24 years old, respectively), and we are embarking upon a spontaneous and open-ended adventure in November of this year. January will find us on the east coast, and in need of transportation to Europe. While flying would be the more efficient of two possible modes of travel, we have hopes for securing a spot in the less efficient, but far more fulfilling, option of a trans-atlantic passage. We understand that such a passage may be unusual in winter months, but if there are any skippers out there who intend to make it, please consider contacting us.
Between the two of us, we have some limited sailing experience, though additional time at sea on trawlers and other fishing vessels. We can most certainly provide reasonable provisions, quality cooking, good natured perseverance, and Herculean watch shifts. We are currently working in the Pacific Northwest, and will be unable to meet, face-to-face, with potential skippers until early December, when we will arrive in NYC.
