You're asking for someone to help you move your boat and you aren't even going to pay for the provisions, or cover the boats costs. I find that very inappropriate. I was always taught the Captain was responsible for his crew.

I'm trying to figure if its a money issue, or a boat seaworthy issue...

it sounds like you contacted a reputable captain, that either was too expensive, or took a look at the boat, and refused for some reason...

if the boat is seaworthy, and its just you're broke or cheap, I don't have a problem with you trying to find some help.

-hey, sailors are cheap! (at least I am!)

if you can clarify the seaworthiness of the boat, you might get a taker.... perhaps, college kids on break in a few weeks..

Two night trip offshore, or you can pop in at Ft Pierce after the first night, and then make the last leg after a good nights sleep. Down the ICW, you're talking a week. I've done the overnight hops 4 times by myself.

i was about to help this guy, when the captain that he had hired, then put ashore minus money owed, called me and told me the problem. this boat owner is smart, knows everything. except how to outfit, navigate, take instruction, and sail. not knowing how to sail is not a big issue, but being a cheat....and a know it all that you cant reach, that is a danger that the sea will soon swallow. count me out. bad karma.
