Crew Available Mar-Apr, US East Coast - Carib

Reliable, mature crew member available for deliveries or passages up to three weeks between March and mid-April in the Caribbean or along the U.S. East Coast. Experienced in both coastal and off-shore deliveries as well as quite a bit of low-key day-sailing, along with U.S. Sailing certifications through bare-boat cruising.

I'm a long-term expat, currently in Haiti as a United Nations security officer following tours of duty in Bosnia, Kosovo, DR Congo and Iraq. I can stand watch, reef, steer and clean up after myself. I don't mind helping prep the boat and actually enjoy the view from the top of the mast. I'm a decent cook, particularly if your tastes run to Southern and/or Tex-Mex, SCUBA certified and am trained in basic life support including inserting IVs. Having worked most of my career within a chain of command, I am fully aware that a sailboat is not a democracy and have no problem with the concept of 'your boat; your rules.'

My purpose is to prepare for an imminent career change during which I intend to morph from a respectable, upstanding citizen to a complete slacker and drain on society life afloat some place where it doesn't snow. I prefer to have more knowledge and experience before taking responsibility for my own boat.
