Hi - looks like this thread may be a little old and tired by now, but I needed to respond!! I have been the Volunteer Coordinator for the Oregon Surf Rider Chapter for 2 years and a member for about twice as long. I have an immense respect and interest in the ocean. As a non-profit org. we have been responsible for positive changes in our coastal policy and laws. I have basic level cert.''s for sailboats and have been sailing in the San Juans for years.
