Seeking Experience

I will retire effective April 30 at age 57. After completing ASA certifications 101-108 in June 2004 I want to sail as much as possible with two objectives in mind: 1) to gain as much sailing experience as possible in the shortest amount of time; and 2) to gain as much hands-on experience as possible with different boats with a purchase in the end-of-year timeframe, followed by my first single-handed voyage after retrofitting and upgrading in late spring 2005.
I will consider crewing on charters or, preferably, boat deliveries and (here''s the best part)I''m free. I''m much more focused on experience than additional income, and in the very short term.
I am prepared to not only pull my load but to work hard, with my only compensation being learning and skill-building.
Please let me know if you think I will fit into your plans, or if you need additional information.
You can email me at DFAGALA@houston.rr.com

Seeking Experience

Epiphany,

You may recall some previous discussions we''ve had on this board. I saw your note and thought I would take this opportunity to wish you well in your endeavour. Congratulations on your upcoming retirement, and the journey of a new sailing career at hand.My ultimate goal remains beyond sailing.Though our paths are different, I hope we both reach the same point at the end of the final journey. Fair winds to you!
