Lake Michigan crossing crew or captain

I will be picking up a 29'' boat I recently purchased in Muskegon Michigan to Chicago in Late April / Early May. It has been a long time since I sailed and only on smaller boats. I have an experienced friend who will join me but he is an IT headhunter and I know it''d be tough for him to give up the time from work and family. I could definately use some assistance if anyone with experience might be interested.

I live close by, but doubt I could get free around then. I am familiar with the Lake at that time of year. Be sure to pick your days as best you can. That time of year can be pretty breezy & the water is very cold yet.

I have experience on boats 27'' to 50''. In addition I have ASA certs in basic, coastal navigation, and bareboating. I have over 2300 miles of blue water experience and over 1000 miles of great lakes sailing.
