Cats on the Dock

I'm a new boat owner and want to share it with my cat. He's well behaved, playful, and affectionate. However, my biggest fear is he'll take off when I'm at the dock, even though he is harness-trained.

Sue and Larry respond:

It's been our experience that cats imprint the boat as their new home after only a short period of time, and will return after exploring the marina. The hardest thing is to keep them off other boats.
